I think Southern Mexicans are just quieter

Semana del 10 de Agosto 2015

Well, I said goodbye to my trainer, Elder Rose, and Elder Chavez and said hello to my new companion, Elder Peguero, on Tuesday. I really like my new comp. He’s a Oaxaqueño who’s really quiet and smart (I think Southern Mexicans are just quieter than people up here). He’s a convert of about 6 years and he’s almost 27 years old! I’m learning a lot from him and we’re trying to keep the work going that Elder Rose and I had started here in this area. Also, I’m speaking Spanish all day now, so hopefully my time with a Mexican comp will really accelerate my learning!

We followed up with that man from last week and we’re gonna do everything we can to get him to the hospital and help him in whatever way he needs, it’s just hard as he has no form of communication and often leaves Saltillo unexpectedly. That’s about it for this week.
